Plane crash horror leaves two young men dead after aircraft ploughs into field

A plane has crashed into a field, leaving two men dead. The two-seater light aeroplane they were in crashed into a field this morning, police have said.The men, understood to be the pilot and passenger, were both in their 20s.

The incident took place in Thorganby, North Yorkshire. The emergency services were called to the scene and an investigation is underway.Yorkshire Ambulance Service released a statement about the incident.

The Mirror reports the organisation said: "We received an emergency call at 9:50am on Sunday morning reporting an incident involving a light aircraft at Thorganby near York."A number of our resources have responded to the incident." North Yorkshire Police also published a statement on the incident on its website.It said: "We are currently dealing with an incident involving a light aircraft at a rural location near Selby, which was reported at around 9:50am today. "We remain on the scene along with other emergency services and further updates will follow."
