Another movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is in the works and there’s a new update on the possibility of Johnny Depp reprising his role as Jack Sparrow.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer previously said at the beginning of 2024 that the sixth movie will “reboot” the franchise and then he was spotted reuniting with Johnny just a couple months ago.
Now, a new report on the future of Disney movies has revealed some interesting info. Keep reading to find out more… Variety reports that Disney “has not engaged with Johnny Depp” about the next movie in the franchise, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be involved.
The report says that Bruckheimer is “developing two versions of the script on parallel tracks, one that could bring Depp back into the fold if the actor and Disney can reconcile.” A source told the outlet, “Nothing has been ruled out.” Take a look at Johnny‘s salary for all five of the previous Pirates movies.
