Pint-sized mathematician Adam launches poetry book to raise money for needy families

Adam D Ma, 10, has penned poems about his favourite subject in a book titled "Cooking Algebra in a Pot". Some 2,000 books have been printed and the Devonshire Road Primary School, Heaton, youngster is selling them at £6.99 with profits going to Urban Outreach.

Mum Thasleemah, 39, who is a maths tutor herself, says the aim of publishing the book was to make the subject fun and enjoyable for other children and to raise cash to provide 52,000 lunches at 29 Urban Outreach hubs across Lancashire.
