ITV has said the hour-long chat will give a "rare and fascinating insight into the man behind the politician". The Labour leader will sit down with the controversial journalist next month and will air on ITV in the coming months.
Sir Keir is only the second party leader to appear on Life Stories, the first being when Piers interviewed Gordon Brown when he was Prime Minister, in 2010.
The episode will see Sir Keir reflect on his childhood in Surrey as the second of four children, his career in law – which earned him a knighthood - as well as his family life.
