Piers Morgan has revealed how Simon Cowell is "feeling very lucky" following his terrifying electric bike accident that nearly left him paralysed.Talking to OK!

magazine, the Good Morning Britain host said: "He’s had a very serious back injury and he’s taking the time, quite rightly, to get himself right. "I drop him notes from time to time and I’m encouraged he’s making good progress, but these things take a long time.

He feels very lucky it’s not even worse." Simon, 61, fell off his electric bike in August, breaking his back in three different places and leaving him "millimetres away" from paralysis.

Britain's Got Talent judge Simon was forced to pull out of the recent series' live shows, replaced by Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo instead..
