Piers Morgan has penned a tribute to the royal alongside a photo of the pair in the 90s.The former Good Morning Britain presenter has long spoken about his friendly relationship with the Princess of Wales – who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997 – during his time as a tabloid newspaper editor.Sharing a photo of the pair from an event, Piers was seen toting a glass and wearing a name tag, as a smiling Diana looked to the ground.He wrote alongside the image: ‘Princess Diana would have been 60 today.‘She was a charismatic, smart, beautiful, contrary, sensitive, funny, unforgiving & mischievous lady with a massive generous heart.‘Biggest star in the world but I think all her demons were driven by one thing: she just wanted to be.
