The Good Morning Britain host, 55, is used to his outspoken behaviour being met with backlash. But for one woman, Piers helps her get by day-to-day following the loss of her beloved husband.
The woman, named Linda, sent a hand-written letter to the GMB studio to thank Piers for giving her the strength to carry on.
The note read: "Dear Piers, I am writing to a TV programme for the first time in my life and I am 75. My husband died in December 2019, after 57 years together and I was left devastated and alone. "I can truthfully say that watching you these mornings on GMB gave me a reason to get out of bed.
