RTÉ presenter Miriam O’Callaghan has put her stunning Victorian home in south Dublin up for sale for over €1.6 million. The six-bedroom property, situated in Rathmines, Dublin 6, has been the ‘happy home’ of the broadcaster, her eight children and her husband, Steve Carson, since 1997.
It’s understood the couple intend to downsize now that most of their family are grown up. Estate agency Sherry Fitzgerald has described the home as ‘wonderful, warm and inviting’ and a property which boasts ‘immense charm and character’.
It is listed for sale at €1,625,000 and was one of the last houses to be built in the area in 1885. The property’s first occupier was Edward Maxton, who was a justice for the peace in Westmeath and Longford.
