Phoebe Dynevor to Star In Shark Thriller For Sony; Tommy Wirkola Directing
deadline.comBridgerton breakout Phoebe Dynevor is in talks to star in an as-yet-untitled shark thriller that Tommy Wirkola (Violent Night) wrote to direct for Sony Pictures, Deadline can confirm.
Details as to the plot of the film are under wraps. But Adam McKay and Kevin Messick will produce under their Hyperobject Industries banner, with production to kick off in Australia this summer.
Best known for her role of Daphne Bridgerton in the first two seasons of the hugely popular Netflix series Bridgerton, Dynevor was also recently seen starring opposite Alden Ehrenreich in the thriller Fair Play, which the streamer picked up at Sundance following a bidding war, garnering a BAFTA nomination for her work.
Up next, she’ll be seen in two more thrillers: spy pic Inheritance from filmmaker Neil Burger and Anniversary, which also stars Diane Lane, Zoey Deutch and more.
