Phillip Schofield's ex-pal Fern Britton labelled 'iconic' as tweet leaves fan 'howling'

Fern Britton left fans howling as she shared she'd had the "loveliest catch-up" with Eamonn Holmes, just hours after he had hit out at Fern's former pal Phillip Schofield.

Between 2002 and 2009, Phil and Fern co-hosted This Morning together, but around the time of her departure, the relationship between the two appeared to sour.

Writing about their time hosting the show in his autobiography Life Is What You Make It, Phil claimed that they had an awkward meeting in 2009 and alleged that Fern accused him of “meddling” with the show.

And now it's been reported that Phil has fallen out with current This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby, with the formerly close friends said to be barely speaking to each other off-camera.
