Phillip Schofield returns to ITV's This Morning and breaks silence after court case

Phillip Schofield finally returned to This Morning on Monday after a lengthy break from hosting the ITV show, and he thanked fans for their "support" over recent weeks.

The 61 year old made his return to the show on 17 April but usual co-host Holly Willoughby was absent, with Rochelle Humes taking her place.

Phillip opened This Morning by saying: "I'd just like to say, it is really lovely to be back. I have missed the show and everyone here and also to you. "I wanted to say thank you for your kind messages and support which were really appreciated.Thank you very much indeed.

On with the show... Shall we?" It marked the first time Phillip has hosted This Morning since his brother Timothy Schofield was convicted of sexual abuse.Timothy was found guilty of sexually abusing a teenage boy over a period of three years, it was recently announced.
