Phillip Schofield gave an update to fans on Thursday afternoon about the security incident that caused This Morning to cut filming mid-show hours earlier.

Viewers were left confused when the live ITV programme suddenly switched to a pre-recorded episode, unaware that the studio had been evacuated following a security alert which was called nearby.

After the This Morning team had carried out the necessary safety precautions of exiting the building, they later returned and host Phillip wasted no time in letting his followers know what had happened as he assured fans he was doing well after the disruption.
