Pharmacy worker recognised for helping people in Lanarkshire stop smoking

A Lanarkshire community pharmacy worker has been recognised for her efforts in helping people to quit smoking.Lisa O’Neill, who works at Boots in Motherwell, wowed the judges at pharmacy magazine Training Matters’ ninth annual Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Awards.Healthcare worker Lisa, an accuracy checking technician, was named the winner of the Service Excellence Award.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He was relatively young, overweight and suffers with mental health problems.“He still comes in now and there’s just such a new confidence about him,” said Lisa. “He’s now started a local rowing club which I am planning on joining too because I love to row!“He is just an inspiration to everyone including me and it is his story I always tell any new patients.
