Manchester United great Peter Schmeichel says Erik ten Hag was wrong to haul off Kobbie Mainoo at half-time during the 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.
Mainoo started for the fourth match running, but the teenager was sacrificed after 45 minutes to make way for Scott McTominay.
Marcus Rashford was on target for United at the City Ground as he scored for only the third time this campaign. However, goals from Nicolas Dominguez and Morgan Gibbs-White gunned down the Reds.
Naturally, that result left Schmeichel and anybody with connections to the club feeling disappointed. The iconic former goalkeeper also reckons Ten Hag changed the game for the worse when opting to bring his star teenager off having done little wrong in the first half.
