Peter Leven is being eyed by Barnsley as incoming Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin’s plans are upset before he has even arrived.The Aberdeen interim boss is among the candidates that the English League One side is looking at to become their new head coach.
Barnsley sacked Neill Collins earlier this week with the club pushing for the play-offs. The Oakwell board is currently looking at replacements and Leven is one that is attracting their interest.
Barnsley have put Martin Devaney in interim charge. Leven has helped to steady the ship at Aberdeen after Barry Robson and Neil Warnock’s departures.
The talented coach already has a decent standing in England through his playing spells and his time coaching at the Middlesbrough Academy.
