Premier League cult hero Peter Crouch has revealed the biggest regret of his career is leaving Liverpool. The former England striker enjoyed a relatively successful three-year spell at Anfield, having signed for Rafa Benitez's Champions League winners from Southampton in 2005.
Crouch was a popular figure at the Reds, helping them reach the 2007 Champions League final where they lost out to AC Milan, before making a return to Portsmouth a year later.
And the retired football admits that, looking back, he could have perhaps stayed on a little longer in Merseyside. Writing in his column for The Daily Mail, Crouch said: "Things happen for a reason and I accepted many things in my career, such as losing the Champions League final in 2007.
