Peter Andre has revealed teachers used racial slurs on him and that he was ‘beaten’ by school bullies while growing up in Australia.
The 47-year-old and his brothers – who are of Cypriot heritage – endured horrific racist attacks during their childhood on the Gold Coast.The Mysterious Girl singer told The Sun: ‘We suffered racism bad as kids and were called “greasy w*gs”.
I was beaten quite a few times from kids at the school.‘To this day I don’t wear my hair curly purely because when I look in the mirror I see what those kids used to call me, even now at 47-years-old.
You’d think I’d be over it.’A ‘w*g’ is a derogatory term to describe someone of Mediterranean and European heritage.Peter recalled one of his teachers using the racist slur.
