Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks finally opened up after Maura Higgins hinted they were an item during her stint on I'm A Celeb.

Dishing the dirt with his best mate Sam Thompson on their Staying Relevant podcast, they caught fans up on all their latest escapades.

Sam revealed he had chatted with Maura post-elimination from I'm A Celebrity, initially making a pact not to discuss Pete and Maura’s alleged fling on his I'm A Celeb spin-off show I'm a Celebrity: Unpacked with Joel Dommett, as his "loyalty to Pete beats everything".

But Strictly star Pete quipped back, teasing Sam: "It does until the leaving interview, and you say 'welcome to the family', so I guess that one just sort of slipped out did it?" Despite Sam's little slip-up, it was Maura herself who got tongues wagging about the romance in the jungle, confessing to campmates and later spilling more tea to Alison Hammond on ITV’s This Morning.
