Pet Shop Boys have confirmed that they will be attending a Ukraine rally in London later today (February 24).The event is scheduled for Trafalgar Square and will be taking place from 6:30pm GMT tonight.
Dubbed ‘Heart-Broken But Unbroken’, it will be taking place on the third anniversary of the war on the country and is backed by a coalition of Ukrainian organisations.“We unite, not just for ourselves, but for Ukraine’s sovereignty, freedom, and future.
Our presence will be a powerful statement – one that cannot be ignored,” reads a description on Instagram. “This is more than a rally; it’s a declaration.
A declaration that Ukraine’s voice must be heard. A declaration that we will not rest until peace and justice prevail. Stand with Ukraine.”It also adds that “British politicians, Ukrainian officials, and representatives from our allied nations” have offered backing, and a performance will be held by the Ukrainian band Antytila.Now, Pet Shop Boys have shared a new statement online confirming that they will be in attendance for the rally.
