The feline, called Leo, was discovered by a member of the public near the High Street in Falkirk on February 15.Charity chiefs believe he may have been left there by his owner who was struggling to care for him amid the cost-of-living crisis.
Leo was found to be in a good condition and well-groomed suggesting he came from a loving home. The moggie is now being looked after at the SSPCA’s centre in Lanarkshire and will be re-homed in due course.
In a statement, the charity said: “Leo the cat came into our care when he was found abandoned near the High Street in Falkirk on 15 February.“He was found in a lane in a carrier with food, toys and jumpers at 8pm at night.
