Goodbye Earth.Today (April 9), the streamer revealed though its Netflix K-Content account on X (formerly Twitter) that Goodbye Earth will premiere April 26. The announcement was accompanied by 10 stills from the upcoming K-drama, which will star Ahn Eun-jin, Jeon Sung-woo and more.Notably, none of the stills feature actor Yoo Ah-in, who has been embroiled in controversy regarding his alleged drug use since early-2023.

The star of “Burning,” “The Throne” and Netflix series “Hellbound,” appeared at the Seoul Central District Court on charges that he used five different drugs. Local media photos showed that Yoo’s hands were tied with what appeared to be a blue cloth or cord before and during his 90-minute daytime court appearance. Footage also showed that he was hit by a bottle of coffee thrown by a disgruntled fan, before Yoo was led away, unhurt, by bodyguards.

Allegations of Yoo’s drug use emerged a month ago and he has previously spoken with authorities. The Yonhap news agency now specifies that he will be considered as a criminal suspect when he presents himself to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on Friday. It is unclear whether Yoo will be formally arrested at that time. Yoo became a person of interest in early February after the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety revealed that he had bought suspicious quantities of the sedative Propofol in a series of purchases starting in 2021. Propofol is a strong sedative that can also be used as an anesthetic. The authorities have looked into several doctors’ offices and clinics in Seoul that may have administered the drug.

Hellbound actor Yoo Ah-in has opened up to losing himself to stardom following his breakthrough role in the 2010 TV series Sungkyunkwan Scandal. The 35-year-old actor spoke about his extensive filmography in a recent interview with Netflix’s The Swoon, where he discussed his experience and thoughts on the various projects he had worked on over his almost decade-long career.Yoo described his appearance in the 2010 TV series Sungkyunkwan Scandal as his “breakthrough” role , despite having already worked on a number of projects prior. “Sungkyunkwan Scandal was the beginning of my fame,” he said.The actor noted that, following his success and then-newfound fame, he had “experienced things I had never experienced before”.

The series stars Yoo Ah-in (also know for Burning) as Jeong Jin-soo, the enigmatic leader of a religious cult.In the world of Hellbound, ordinary people deemed sinners begin receiving ominous messages declaring the time of their impending deaths, and are later dragged away by “executors of Hell” at the prophesied time.
