Danica McKellar from "The Wonder Years" sat down with her son Draco to talk about her life as a young actress and the unexpected turn she took after playing Winnie Cooper in the popular television show.  In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, McKellar's son Draco asked his mom questions about acting in "The Wonder Years" and about her experience taking a break from acting to become a mathematician.  "I went to UCLA, but when I got to school, everywhere I went, people all over campus would shout across campus you know, ‘Hey Winnie!’ McKellar said. "I couldn't get away from it, so I needed to find out how I was valuable outside of Winnie Cooper.

Danica McKellar became a household name at the age of 13 after landing the role of Winnie Cooper in beloved family sitcom "The Wonder Years." The nostalgia-driven ABC dramedy series was a ratings hit and critical darling when it premiered in 1988. "The Wonder Years," which ran for six seasons until 1993, also made child stars of its young actors, including McKellar and series lead Fred Savage. Now 35 years later, the 48-year-old actress reflected on how she was able to stay grounded despite her early fame — which she attributes to the influence of her parents, Christopher and Mahaila.

“The Wonder Years” are taking over comedy on the night of the remake’s premiere.

The Wonder Years to ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The original show aired for 115 episodes from 1988 to 1993 and followed a young boy named Kevin Arnold coming of age in a nondescript suburb twenty years prior to the air date.
