EXCLUSIVE: Level 33 Entertainment has taken domestic on H.P. Mendoza’s The Secret Art of Human Flight, which made its world premiere at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival. A July theatrical release has been set followed by a debut on digital platforms.

Johnny Carter is heading back to EastEnders to help his mum Linda Carter - but will be played by a brand new face. Charlie Suff is stepping into Johnny's shoes, taking over the role previously played by Sam Strike and Ted Reilly.The actor shared some exciting details about Johnny's return, saying: "Johnny is back in Walford because he has caught wind from his Gran that things aren't going too well for Linda.There's a lot of worry about his mum, and the family needs Johnny back home to steer the ship and get things back on track.There is a lot going on! He is absolutely devastated." He added: "It's too much of a shock for him to understand the implications of the state Linda is in immediately.

EastEnders is set to bring a fan-favourite character back to Albert Square after five years, as Johnny Carter will be returning home. The character has so far been played by two actors - Ted Reilly and Sam Strike - and will now be recast by a Grantchester favourite. Charlie Suff, who played Tommy Wilson on ITV's popular period drama, is gearing up to take a stab at the solicitor, who is Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter's (Kellie Bright) son.

‘The Woman King’ & ‘Aftersun’ Dominate Girls On Film AwardsThe Woman King and Aftersun dominated the main awards at the second annual Girls On Film Awards. The Woman King picked up Best Ensemble, sponsored by Netflix, and Best Female Friendship On Screen. Woman King star Viola Davis was also awarded the Feminist Superhero award. Woman King lead Sheila Atim was there in person to accept the awards. Aftersun nabbed Best Feature Film Sponsored by EON Productions, while the film’s publicity team also won Best Publicity Campaign. Other big winners included Sebastián Lelio’s The Wonder, which took home Best Cinematography and the Sinéad O’Connor pic Nothing Compares (Best Documentary). Nominees for the awards were chosen by a selection of critics and journalists. Girls On Film was launched by Deadline critic and broadcaster Anna Smith and producer Hedda Archbold with the aim of rewarding excellence in the field of feminism, inclusion, and diversity in cinema. Naman Ramachandran Sony Pictures Television-backed Eleventh Hour Films (“Alex Rider,” “The Magpie Murders”) have revealed two more projects in development and made a senior creative hire. “The Man In The Back Seat” (working title) a series development from novelist David Peace (“Red Riding”) and actor-writer, Ted Reilly, is the company’s first foray into the original true-crime genre. Based on events documented in the book “The Long Silence” by Paul Stickler, who serves as a consultant, the series will follow the 1962 criminal case, where after the longest trial in British legal history, James Hanratty was executed for the murder of Michael Gregsten, and the rape and attempted murder of Valerie Storie.
