EXCLUSIVE: Harlem is coming back for Season 3 and fans will see four new faces when the show returns. Kofi Siriboe (Queen Sugar), Logan Browning (Dear White People), Robin Givens (Batwoman) and Gail Bean (Snowfall) have been set in recurring roles.

The teaser trailer for The Bast Man: The Final Chapters dropped during the Urbanworld Film Festival, the same event where the film originally premiered in 1999. The Peacock limited series will premiere all 8 episodes on December 22. Watch the trailer in the video posted above.

Layoffs are underway at Warner Bros. Television Group. The cuts include the closing of digital shortform programming division Stage 13 and of the famous Warner Bros. Television Workshop, which has been around for more than 40 years.

Queen Sugar will return on September 6.According to Deadline, this season will feature direction from an all-woman team. In addition to the the show’s creator and executive producer Ava DuVernay, season 7’s directors will also include Kat Candler, Stacey Muhammad, showrunner Shaz Bennett, Patricia Cardoso, Aurora Guerrero, and DeMane Davis.Queen Sugar tells the story of three siblings in rural Louisiana who must deal with the aftermath of their father’s death and their inheritance of his massive sugarcane farm. DuVernay’s series contains themes of racial profiling, slavery in America and its flawed criminal justice system, along with other struggles faced by Black people in this country.“To everything, there is a season,” DuVernay said in a statement for Variety.

OWN has set the premiere date for the seventh and final season of Queen Sugar. The series created and executive produced by Ava DuVernay will return on Tuesday, September 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
