While she began a career in modeling in the 90s and fronted fashion and beauty campaigns for the likes of Versace, Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent, the 44-year-old learnt her biggest beauty lessons from sources closer to home. "I grew up around women who celebrated the rituals of beauty, both of my grandmothers would have their hair set a couple of times a week and get their nails done at the same time, and they were always immaculate," says Dahl."I love having my hair and nails done, to me these rituals create space, and a feeling of being able to take on whatever life throws at me.
