Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor Sony Pictures Entertainment is set to announce its latest advanced visualization facility, Torchlight, at CES this evening. Located at Sony’s Culver City studios, Torchlight is already operational and being used by filmmakers. The facility will allow filmmakers to create digital scenes as part of their pre-visualization process.

Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) today announced the establishment of its first LED virtual production stage, located at Sony Innovation Studios in Culver City. With LED virtual production transforming the way film and television are made, the new stage is the world’s largest using Sony’s high brightness and wide color gamut Crystal LED display panels. The panels were created in collaboration with top engineers at SPE for use in virtual production. The establishment of this LED stage allows Sony Innovation Studios (SIS) to expand its virtual production workflow across various entertainment platforms and seamlessly merge the real and virtual worlds with its Atom View technology and proprietary stage-integration software.

Sony Pictures Entertainment released the trailer for their upcoming film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.The horror movie will reboot the Resident Evil franchise though directorJohannes Roberts said that it will be a far more faithful adaptation to the source material than its predecessors.The trailer follows Claire Redfield, played byKaya Scodelario, a college student who returns home to investigate the shady Umbrella Corporation which she believes has experimented on many people in the town.
