Eddie Vedder performed a solo set for the Teenage Cancer Trust 2024 series, and brought both his daughter Olivia and singer-songwriter Glen Hansard as special guests. Check out footage of the moment below.The performance from the Pearl Jam frontman took place last night (March 24), closing out a week of gigs held at the historic Royal Albert Hall to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust and Teen Cancer America.Taking to the stage for the ‘Ovation’ show, following earlier sets from Paul Weller and Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones, Vedder launched into his seven-song set with an opening rendition of the Pearl Jam track ‘Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town’.It was later in his set however when he brought out Simon Townshend – the brother of The Who’s Pete Townshend – as his first special guest, followed by a surprise appearance from Glen Hansard.

Roger Daltrey has two generations of Townshends in his solo band for his rescheduled UK tour dates.The Who frontman has booked both Simon Townshend, the brother of The Who bassist/singer Pete Townshend, and Simon’s son, Ben, to support him on his tour. Pearl Jam have announced a number of new additions to their BST Hyde Park shows next month.The gigs on July 8 and 9 will be the band’s biggest ever London shows. Pearl Jam were originally due to headline BST Hyde Park in 2021 alongside Duran Duran but the event was cancelled as a result of the COVID pandemic.Newly announced support acts for the shows include October Drift, Fatherson, LIFE and Daytime TV on July 8.

Stereophonics and Cat Power are among the new support acts that have been announced for Pearl Jam‘s pair of Hyde Park shows this summer.Pearl Jam will play at the BST Hyde Park series in central London on July 8 and 9, with Pixies already set to support the band on the opening night.This morning (February 24) BST Hyde Park announced a host of support acts for both shows. Cat Power, White Reaper, The Murder Capital, The Glorious Sons, Simon Townshend, La Luz, Sick Joy and Dream Nails will all play on July 8 prior to Pearl Jam’s headline slot.Stereophonics lead the support acts on July 9, with Imelda May, The Last Internationale, La Luz, JJ Wilde and The Wild Things also set to perform.More artists are due to be announced for both line-ups in the coming weeks and months.
