Thug jailed for nearly three years after threatening his mum with a knife and hitting cop with a hammer
iOS - Android McTaggart brandished a knife, threatened his mum, seized her by the throat and shoved her.He also admitted swinging a blade and a hammer repeatedly at one police officer, striking him a body blow with the hammer.McTaggart further admitted making repeated attempts to strike a second officer with the hammer.Defence agent Simon Gilmour said his client had been misusing alcohol and cannabis at the time.The lawyer added: "His mother had concerns that cannabis use was affecting his behaviour. She confronted him about his lifestyle choices and he acted in the manner described."He's been on remand and she has visited him.
