Steven Spielberg has set a new Oscars record as the first person to be nominated for Best Director in six different decades.Spielberg achieved the distinction after receiving his latest nomination for the award for West Side Story on Tuesday.Spielberg was first nominated for Best Director in 1978 with Close Encounters of the Third Kind, followed by Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1982 and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial in 1983.
