'Twinkle in her eye' Paul McCartney breaks silence on 'old friend' Janice Long's death
Paul McCartney has broken his silence on the death of his close friend Janice Long.The Beatles frontman, 79, described the BBC Radio DJ as a "fun-loving lady who always had a twinkle in her eye," as he paid tribute to the broadcaster in a heartfelt post, following her death aged 66, last month.In view of his 4.2 million followers the Liverpudlian paid his respects to his friend.Paul wrote: "I was very sad to hear that my old Liverpudlian friend Janice Long has passed away."Janice was a fun-loving lady who always had a twinkle in her eye."She was very knowledgeable about the music scene and whenever we met it was a pleasure and we had a great laugh," he ended his comment.He went on: "My sympathies go out to her family and friends."We have all lost a great Scouse girl, but I will always have very fond memories of her and of the times we spent together."Paul x," he signed off his post.Following the devastating news, fans of The Beatles musician took to the comments to pay their respects.Danny Martinez wrote: "Sir Paul, she is now with John & George, watching over all of us on earth."Definitely including you & Ringo.
