K-pop singer and former NU’EST member Baekho has dropped a sultry cover of Brown Eyed Girls’ ‘Abracadabra’.The singer has released a cover of the 2009 Brown Eyed Girls hit through his official YouTube channel. Baekho’s rendition of the song swaps its electronic sound for a guitar-led R&B instrumental, with the singer also slowing down parts of ‘Abracadabra’.“Bring, bring, I want to hold you in my arms / I will do anything and even more / Bling bling, you are my fantasy / I’ll put everything / In stake to have you,” he sings in the chorus.The new cover comes two weeks after the singer dropped his remake of singer Park Jin-young’s 1995 hit ‘Elevator’, for which he has also released a performance video.Prior to this, Baekho’s last music release was his debut mini-album ‘Absolute Zero’ in October 2022, which was led by the single ‘No Rules’.

K-pop girl group ITZY have released a cover of Wonder Girls’ 2011 single ‘Be My Baby’.On Christmas Eve, the five-member girl group dropped a special clip of themselves performing Wonder Girls’ 2011 hit single ‘Be My Baby’. The new clip features behind-the-scenes footage of ITZY recording the cover in the studio, later coming together to dance along to the song.“Please be my baby, please be my baby / Whenever I think about you, I go crazy / ‘Cause I want to have you / Make me your lady, make me your lady / I will give you my love and I will never make you regret, no,” they sing in the chorus.‘Be My Baby’ was the title track to Wonder Girls’ second studio album ‘Wonder World’, and is one of several hit singles released by the now-disbanded JYP Entertainment girl group.

Zombieverse.Zombieverse will star K-pop idol Tsuki of Billlie, Sweet Home actress Lee Si-young, TV personality Noh Hong-chul, comedian Park Na-rae, 2 Days And 1 Night star DinDin and more.The series will feature the aforementioned celebrities as “survivors” of a zombie apocalypse in Seoul who will have to band together in order to find food, transport, shelter and more. They will also have to complete daily tasks while avoid being “bitten” to stay in the game.The new teaser for the series shows the cast of Zombieverse trying to escape from the zombies in different places across Seoul, including a theme park, a supermarket and the popular nightlife district of Hongdae.“There will be new zombies, survivors and unique scenes, which have not been seen in the existing zombie-themed projects.

JYP Entertainment, the agency behind K-pop acts TWICE, ITZY, Stray Kids and more, plans to begin releasing digital-only albums in an effort to reduce its environmental impact.This is according to the agency’s 2021 ESG (environmental, social, and governance) Report, released earlier this month. In it, JYP Entertainment says that the company is currently looking into reducing waste associated with physical album purchases by digitally distributing songs, behind-the-scenes content, lyric and photo books instead.Fans purchasing albums from the agency in the future will only receive physical photo cards while being granted access to all other included material through QR codes and NFCs.

JYP Entertainment, home to top acts like TWICE, ITZY and Stray Kids, is teaming up with Republic Records to debut a new North American girl group, holding auditions in the US this September.On July 25, the two agencies unveiled a video featuring JYP Entertainment founder and chairman Park Jin-young and Republic Records’ founder and CEO Monte Lipman announcing their upcoming venture ‘A2K’.“The name of this project is ‘A2K’, which is an abbreviation of ‘America2Korea’. So the final artist that comes out of this procedure will be the first American artist made out of a K-pop system,” said Park.“It’s like talented artists who goes through a training system like an Olympic gymnast will go through,” he added.
