Former longtime Rolling Stones tour manager Mick Brigden has died after an apparent “freak accident” at his home last week.

Mick Brigden, a tour manager who has worked with The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and more died on Sept. 5 at age 73 following an accident at his home.  Brigden’s wife, Julia Dreyer Brigden, told the Press Democrat that the music industry legend died following an accident that occurred while he was digging a grave for the family’s pet dog on their property.

Born in Southend-on-Sea, Mick left the UK for Canada when he was 19 to pursue a career as a graphic artist before moving to New York.While he was there, he met Mountain band’s bassist and co-lead vocalist Felix Pappalardi in the late ’60s and became their road manager.In 1969, he met his wife Julia and they started working together.Reflecting on her late husband's illustrious career, Julia said: "He was so organized.That’s why he was so good at his job."When you arrived at the hotel, the cars were waiting and the venues were set up."He then met rock concert promoter Bill Graham and started working for him, eventually taking over the management division of Bill Graham Presents.Mick later joined forces with longtime Sammy Hagar manager,
