A suburban Milwaukee police officer who has fatally shot three people in the line of duty since 2015, including a Black teenager outside a mall in February, is resigning from the department. The Wauwatosa Common Council approved a separation agreement with Joseph Mensah on Tuesday night, effective Nov.

The teen's mother, Tracy, was one of the dozens of protesters arrested in Wauwatosa on Thursday night. Jay-Z and Team Roc, the social justice arm of Roc Nation, have also paid an undisclosed amount of court fees for Tracy Cole, her daughters Taleavia, Tristiana and Tahudah, along with several others who were arrested at the demonstration, a spokesperson for the group told CBS News on Friday.The group said Tracy Cole was injured after officers used «excessive force» during the arrests.

Protesters in Wisconsin faced tear gas and pepper balls Friday night as unrest continued following the death of a Black teenager.  The protests ignited earlier this week after prosecutors announced Wauwatosa police Officer Joseph Mensah wouldn't face charges for shooting and killing Alvin Cole, 17, outside the Mayfair Mall on Feb. 2.

Jay-Z‘s Team Roc have published an open letter calling for police in Milwaukee to prosecute and fire a police officer who has reportedly shot and killed three men over the last five years.Publishing the letter in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Jay and his team called upon  Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm to take action against Wauwatosa Police Department officer Joseph Mensah – who is thought to have shot and killed Alvin Cole, Antonio Gonzales and Jay Anderson since 2015.“His actions demonstrate an utter disregard for the lives of these young men,” the letter reads. “What is also egregious is that the department’s failure to mandate body cameras has enabled these tragic instances.
