The Prince and Princess of Wales spent many years living at Kensington Palace before relocating to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor - although they still use it as their official office.The family of five lived in Apartment 1A of Kensington Palace and were said to have decided on the move to give their young children more freedom.The idea that the West London palace is restrictive for younger members of the Royal Family is not a new concept as it was famously the site of a restrictive set of rules which affected Queen Victoria before her accession at the age of 18. The Wales family's home at Adelaide Cottage is nestled away in the heart of the Crown Estate's private 655-acre royal park and will provide the three young royals with a greater deal of privacy than they had at Kensington Palace.
