British screenwriter Ray Jenkins, who wrote on some of the UK’s biggest TV hits across several decades, has died aged 87. Jenkins died last month and leaves behind his two children, Pascale and Ceri.

Ray Jenkins, ‘The Woman in White’ Screenwriter, Dies at 87

K.J. Yossman Ray Jenkins, the British screenwriter behind shows including “The Woman in White” and “The Sweeney,” has died. He was 87. Jenkins died on Jan. 16, his agent confirmed to Variety. No cause of death was given. Jenkins was an accomplished dramatist who wrote for TV, radio and film. He was known especially for his work on British police and justice-related series throughout the 1960s and 80s, including “The Sweeney,” which starred John Thaw and Dennis Waterman, and “Juliet Bravo” in which Stephanie Turner played Inspector Jean Darblay. Other shows Jenkins worked on included “Z Cars,” “The Brothers,” “This Man Craig,” “Callan,” “Special Branch” and “The Gentle Touch.”

Sumo Digital, Ian Richardson, has died at the age of 53.Richardson spent 30 years in the games industry working in business development and sales roles for studios such as Ocean Software, Rage, and Europress.However, he is best known for his role as Sumo Digital’s studio business development director where he spent six years.Over the years, Richardson has been credited on multiple games including Forza Horizon 4, Forza Motorsport 7, Team Sonic Racing, and more. He was also an ambassador for the UK charity SpecialEffect and helped raise a significant amount of money.To all our friends in the industry, the terrible news this weekend of the passing of Ian Richardson has hit us hard.
