The Black Keys have today (February 9) shared an emotive new single called ‘I Forgot To Be Your Lover’ – check out the new song below.The second track from their upcoming new album, ‘Ohio Players‘, is a rendition of William Bell’s ‘I Forgot To Be Your Lover’ and features Tommy Brenneck and Kelly Finnigan on the record. It follows on from the previously released single, ‘Beautiful People (Stay High)’. The new album is set release on April 5 via Nonesuch/Warner and you can pre-order/pre-save it here.A statement about the song says: “The reimagined song joins the original tracks on an album unlike any of the band’s others, featuring collaborations among the band’s Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney and various additional friends and colleagues, including Beck, Noel Gallagher, Greg Kurstin, and others.”You can listen to the track here:“We had this epiphany: ‘We can call our friends to help us make music’,” the band’s Patrick Carney said of the collaborative approach the band had towards their new album.

Liam Gallagher has dropped his new track Everything’s Electric, co-written by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, and fans are already absolutely in love with it.The former Oasis frontman is back with his first new solo release since the standalone track All You’re Dreaming Of in December 2020, the lead single from his eagerly-awaited third solo album C’mon You Know, which he has promised is ‘80% a bit peculiar’.The rocker recruited the Foo Fighters frontman, 53, to help pen the new tune, and it was produced by studio wizard Greg Kurstin, who not only worked on Liam’s previous two solo records – 2017’s As You Were and 2019’s Why Me? Liam Gallagher has shared his new single ‘Everything’s Electric’, which was co-written by Dave Grohl – you can hear the track below.The song is the first to be taken from the former Oasis frontman’s upcoming new solo album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’, which is set for release on May 27 and is the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Why Me? Why Not.’.‘Everything’s Electric’ was co-written by Foo Fighters frontman Grohl, who also plays drums on the track, and its producer Greg Kurstin.Gallagher and Grohl first met a number of years ago when the Foos and Oasis toured together, and speculation about a collaboration between the two has been building in recent years.The single, which you can hear below, was inspired by Beastie Boys’ ‘Sabotage’ and The Rolling Stones’ ‘Gimme Shelter’, according to a press release.Gallagher will perform ‘Everything’s Electric’ at next week’s BRIT Awards, where the track will receive its live debut.Later this year Gallagher will play his biggest solo shows to date, including two sold-out gigs at Knebworth.
