Eleven murdered in 24 hours as drug cartel dump severed heads and leave messages

In the last two days of the month, 23 murders were recorded - driving the total for the month to 188.Sunday, July 31, saw a triple murder, along with the discovery of a severed head and the decapitated body of an individual accompanied by a menacing message from a drugs gang. READ MORE: Mexico's most violent cartel launches horrifying attack on presidential convoyThe three victims of the triple murder – Cristian Alexis Luna, 27, Ricardo Aguirre Rodríguez, 25, and Gary Michael, 31, were shot to death while they were outside a home located on Aquiles Serdán street in the the Libertad neighbourhood.When investigators arrived at the scene, they found more than 30 shell casings, many of which were from 9mm calibre pistols, and two vehicles riddled with bullet holes.The killers were seen fleeing the scene in a van.Across the city on José López Portillo Street in the Presidentes suburb, a decapitated and handcuffed body was found wrapped in a blue tarpaulin.
