Following the heartbreaking news that acting legend Sir Michael Gambon had passed away at the age of 82, fans from across the globe have been sharing their fond memories of the star, in particular of his memorable role as Albus Dumbledore in six of the iconic Harry Potter films. A statement on behalf of his wife Lady Gambon and son Fergus Gambon, issued by publicist Clair Dobbs first broke the news on Thursday 28 September, which read: “We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon “Beloved husband and father, Michael died peacefully in hospital with his wife Anne and son Fergus at his bedside, following a bout of pneumonia.
