Controversial actor Jussie Smollett is making the leap to behind the camera, making his directorial debut on a film that starts shooting this weekend.Smollett, 38, is attached to direct an adaptation of James Earl Hardy's 1994 novel B-Boy Blues, according to The Hollywood Reporter.While there is no word if Smollett is planning on starring in the film himself, production is slated to begin October 17 in New York City.
