BAFTA Names Joyce Pierpoline New North America Board Chair

Alex Ritman The British Academy has appointed award-winning producer Joyce Pierpoline as the chair of BAFTA North America’s board of directors. The shortlist for DOC NYC, the largest documentary festival in the U.S., was launched in 2012 and has become a key indicator and predictor for the Academy Awards’ best documentary feature category. Ten out of the last 11 winners for documentary feature were screened at the festival.
