Dave King to sell Rangers shares to Club 1872 and make fans group the biggest hitters
Dave King has agreed to sell his entire stake in Rangers to fan group Club 1872 as he eyes a "final legacy" from his tenure.The businessman took charge at Ibrox in 2015 as he and two other shareholders ousted David Somers and the board, with King later becoming chairman.It was announced at the 2019 AGM King would be stepping down but retaining his 20.37 per cent stake in the club.Through his New Oasis Asset Management group the South Africa-based businessman is the biggest single shareholder.He left in March with Douglas Park taking over as chairman, and King has now announced he will sell 100 per cent of his shareholding to Rangers fan group Club 1872 – and make them the biggest hitters at Ibrox.He said in a statement: "During regime
