Kendrick Lamar’s pgLang company, which is designed for creators, have launched eight short films in collaboration with Calvin Klein.The series of visuals feature rappers Baby Keem and Travis Bennett (aka Taco), actors Ryan Destiny and Keith Powers, positivity influencer Amber Wagner, comedy blogger Exvaier, artist Mecca Allah, and singer Brent Faiyaz.The films were all conceptualised, cast, written and directed in LA by Lamar’s pgLang co-founder Dave Free.

Kendrick Lamar has playfully dismissed rumours that he’s split from Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), his long-standing record label.The speculation began on Monday (October 5) when it was claimed that the acclaimed rapper will leave TDE to join pgLang, the media company that he co-founded alongside former TDE boss Dave Free back in March.According to the original speculation, Lamar was planning to join the company in a bid to shape the career of his own cousin Baby Keem, who has been tipped for widespread success.But in his first response to the rumours, Lamar showed that he isn’t taking them all too seriously. a PSA from Kendrick Lamar.

Kendrick Lamar teases mysterious new project “pgLang”

Kendrick Lamar has deleted his entire Instagram feed and updated it to reflect that he's the founder of a new endeavor called pgLang. A press release for the new endeavor "not a 'record label,' a 'movie studio,' or a 'publishing house,'" but a "multi-lingual, at service company" spanning different mediums. The new initiative was founded by Lamar and Dave Free. In a statement, Free wrote that they are "focused on cultivating raw expression from grassroots partnerships."
