Kendrick Lamar has finally revealed key details of his long-awaited fifth studio album. The Los Angeles rapper tweeted a link to his website oklama.com with a new press release announcing the album's title as Mr Morale & The Big Steppers with a release date of May 13, 2022.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is the follow-up to 2017's Damn, which won a Pulitzer Prize for Music and Best Rap Album at the 2018 Grammys.
The new album will be Lamar's last for Top Dawg Entertainment, the label run by Anthony Tiffith that has released all of his albums so far. "I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years," Lamar said in an open letter. "May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators."
