PhilmCo Media Backs ‘1660 Vine’ Movie Musical About Social Media Influencers

Wilson Chapman editorSixth months after Peter Samuelson and Jonathan Prince launched PhilmCo Media, the production banner is gearing up its first project “1660 Vine,” a musical film that producers hope to adapt as a Broadway show.“1660 Vine,” follows a group of influencers who move into a Hollywood apartment complex to help each other pursue social media stardom. The film will feature influencers and social media celebrities, with Prince Khemuni Norodom of the Cambodian Royal Family leading the cast that also includes TikTok stars Cheryl Porter and Chris Olsen and “American Idol” alum Pia Toscano.The movie is set to begin filming in Los Angeles June 2022, and release on specialty musical platforms StreamingMusicals.com and BroadwayOnDemand.com.

PlayDead alumni reveal third trailer of new title ‘Somerville’

Somerville has today received its third teaser trailer at the Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase today (June 13).The upcoming game is being created by Jumpship, which was founded by multiple developers who worked on the creation of PlayDead games Limbo and Inside, including former PlayDead co-founder Dino Patti.Tellingly, another employer that has jumped ship to work on Somerville is animator Chris Olsen, who was a key part of the recognisable animation style behind both of PlayDead’s games, and ensures that Somerville captures some of the PlayDead magic, even if it’s not actually from that studio.
