HBO Max’s Green Lantern series, which has been in development since 2019, is undergoing a creative overhaul.

Lee Toland Krieger (Superman & Lois, Riverdale) is set to direct the first two episodes of Green Lantern, HBO Max’s upcoming series based on the DC characters, from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Jeremy Irvine (Treadstone) is negotiations to join Finn Wittrock in HBO Max’s upcoming Green Lantern series based on the DC characters, from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Finn Wittrock has been cast in a lead role of the upcoming "Green Lantern" series at HBO Max, Variety has learned. Wittrock will star as Guy Gardner, who is described as a hulking mass of masculinity, and, as rendered in the comics, an embodiment of 1980s hyper-patriotism.
