BGT’s George Sampson looks very different from TV days as he bags major new role
Britain's Got Talent's George Sampson has just landed an amazing new job in Los Angeles and looks very different to how he did back in 2008 when he won the ITV show.The dancer first shot to fame on the first-ever series of the ITV talent show back in 2007 when he was just 14.However, is better known for his stint during the second season the following year, which he won.The Warrington-born lad auditioned for the programme a whopping 14 years ago and has since revealed he used his busking money to pay for dance lessons.During his first attempt, he performed to Timbaland's tune Drop and made it to the next round but failed to get to the semi-finals stage.A year later, he returned and busted a move to Bob Sinclair's Rock This Party in front of TV judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.He proceeded into the next round where he then performed his iconic routine to Singin' In The Rain.This performance and his cheeky chappy persona got him to the final.In the final, George performed exactly the same routine, which concluded with him flipping onto his back under a shower of water.The youngster was crowned the 2008 winner and beat finalists Signature and Andrew Johnston to the top spot.George is now 29 and still loves to perform.In recent years, he has now moved to Los Angeles and will be starring in the musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie, after wowing fans in the West End.He will be playing a substantial role of school bully Dean Paxton.The star attended the Hollywood red carpet event of the show on Monday and flashed a dazzling smile as he posed for the cameras.He recently reflected on how his dance journey had come, writing on Instagram: "I used to dance in the rain and the snow on the streets of Manchester/
