Jamie T has shared a new single titled ‘Hippodrome’ ahead of his headline show at Finsbury Park in London.Co-produced by Olly Burden, ‘Hippodrome’ is an anthemic track that opens up with bright strings leading into a nostalgic beat. The lyrics “Heart quickens south of the river / Mouth full of vinnie sipping cans full of liquor” make up the chorus describing a night from the past.The singer is set to play his largest headline gig on Friday, June 30 at Finsbury Park in London. The show will feature support from IDLES, Kojey Radical, Biig Piig, Hak Baker and Willie J Healey.Speaking to NME about the upcoming monumental moment, Jamie T shared: “I’m excited! We played outside in the dark once at Benicassim years ago, but I’m looking forward to playing in the dark outside.

Wade was overturned in the United States, getting rid of the law that meant abortion was protected as a federal right.At her Ally Pally gig, Lorde fans raised over $33,000 (£27k) for The Brigid Alliance, a charity that provides support to those who have to travel long distances across the United States to access abortion care.In a new edition of her newsletter, Lorde told fans: “Everyone who was at Ally Pally, I wanna say thank you — you guys raised over $33k USD for the Brigid Alliance, thank you so much for that, I’m really grateful.“I felt really supported at that show too, I was feeling really emotional about Roe v Wade, felt special being able to kick and rage and sweat it out with you.”Elsewhere in the same newsletter, Lorde spoke about her desire to start playing with the conventions of gender, beauty and form.Writing to fans via her mailing list, Lorde started by saying she was currently “growing out my unibrow as an entry point for playing with conventions of beauty/gender/form.”She went on to say she was inspired by seeing an exhibition by painter Walter Sickert “which (was) just his paintings of nude women.”“The shock my brain got seeing these not particularly idealised versions of the female form shocked ME.

AJ Tracey has revealed he made “a big loss” financially on his headline shows at London’s Alexandra Palace.The rapper performed for two nights at the iconic, 10,000-capacity North London venue in November 2019.Speaking to Dotty on Apple Music’s The Agenda Radio, Tracey discussed running his own label and the financial risks that come with that.“I did Ally Pally, I took a loss monetarily,” he said. “A big loss, but obviously it’s not a loss because I gave the fans a great show.
