Naman Ramachandran Principal photography commenced Monday at U.K. locations on historical comedy “Seize Them!,” directed by Curtis Vowell (“Baby Done”).The cast includes BAFTA winner, Aimee Lou Wood (“Sex Education”), Lolly Adefope (“Shrill”), Nicola Coughlan (“Bridgerton,” “Derry Girls”), Nick Frost (“Hot Fuzz”) and Jessica Hynes (“W1A”).Written by Andy Riley (“Ron’s Gone Wrong”), “Seize Them!” is a female led comedy set in dark ages Britain where Queen Dagan (Wood) is toppled by a revolution led by Humble Joan (Coughlan).

Sex Education actress Aimee Lou Wood has been cast in the upcoming third season of The White Lotus.The show is set to return to screens in 2025, after filming on the new episodes was delayed due to the actors’ strike. Series creator Mike White will return to write and direct, and the season will be set in Thailand, revolving around a different set of guests at a new hotel.Wood will be joined in the new season by Justified‘s Walton Goggins and Gen V’s Patrick Schwarzenegger, as well as Sam Nivola (Maestro) and Sarah Catherine Hook (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It).Other actors previously announced include Jason Isaacs, known for playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, as well as Michelle Monaghan (Mission: Impossible, True Detective), Parker Poser (Beau is Afraid, The Good Wife) and Leslie Bibb (Iron Man, Jupiter’s Legacy).Also joining the cast will be Dom Hetrakul and Tayme Thapthimtong, alongside Natasha Rothwell, who will return to her role as Belinda, the spa manager from season one.Speculation around the identities of the new cast members has been swirling for several months.

K.J. Yossman Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey have been tapped for the lead roles in new BBC Studios comedy “Daddy Issues.” Wood is best known for her turns in “Sex Education” and “Living” (the latter opposite Bill Nighy) while Morrissey has starred in “The Walking Dead,” where he played The Governor, and James Graham’s series “Sherwood.” The duo are now set to play daughter and father in “Daddy Issues,” which follows the story of hard-partying Gemma (Wood), who lives for the weekend when she gets down to let down her hair in Manchester.

Otis (Asa Butterfield) is struggling to juggle his long-distance relationship with Maeve (Emma Mackey) as she studies in America, his mother Jean’s (Gillian Anderson) new baby, and a rival sex therapist (Thaddea Graham) at school.The show’s two eternal standouts, Otis’s bestie Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Maeve’s bestie Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood), also return with the former trying to handle his evolving queerness while the latter finds artistic therapy for her trauma.Meanwhile, Adam (Connor Swindells), Eric’s bully-turned-ex-boyfriend, decides to not return to school, as Otis’ ex, Ruby (Mimi Keene), finds herself no longer popular.
