One Direction star Liam, 31, was tragically confirmed dead on Wednesday, 16 October, after reports emerged that he had fallen from a hotel balcony in Argentina, leaving friends and fans in utter disbelief.

Perrie Edwards, who was once engaged to Liam's ex-bandmate Zayn Malik and shared her X Factor roots with the late pop icon, has cancelled her scheduled appearance on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge in light of the devastating news.

An announcement was made by a radio 1 presenter on the show to confirm the cancellation. They said: "We've just had some news on our show that because of the sad news of Liam Payne earlier we have heard that Perrie is not going to be in the Live Lounge tomorrow.
