Erik ten Hag has labelled Kobbie Mainoo the "perfect midfielder" and said he his versatility can be a weapon for Manchester United this season.
Mainoo went straight back into the United side for the opening day win against Fulham and the teenager continued his impressive adaptation to senior football with England during the summer, forcing his way into Gareth Southgate's side and starting the European Championship final defeat to Spain.
The 19-year-old had an excellent breakthrough season last term and quickly became a first-team regular under Ten Hag, scoring in the FA Cup final win against Manchester City.
